Merge tags make a simulation feel personal and current. Write them with double curly braces, for example {{firstName}}. Type {{ in the editor to get suggestions.

Tracking

Tag

What it becomes

{{link}}

The person's own tracked link. Use it as the href of every button or link.

{{qr}}

The address of a QR code image for the tracked link. Use it as <img src="{{qr}}">.

{{submit}}

Landing pages only: where the form posts to.

About the person

Tag

Example

{{firstName}}, {{lastName}}, {{name}}

Alex, Martin, Alex Martin

{{email}}

alex.martin@acme.com

{{orgName}}

Acme Corp

{{department}}, {{jobTitle}}

Finance, Controller

{{greeting}}

Good morning (based on the time in the person's timezone)

Dates and times

{{weekday}}, {{month}}, {{monthShort}}, {{dayOfMonth}}, {{quarter}}, {{quarterEnd}}, {{year}}, {{today}}, {{shortDate}}, {{tomorrow}}, {{deadline}} (three days from now) and {{time}}.

Realistic details

These produce believable values that differ per message, so no two people get exactly the same email:

{{actor}}, {{actorInitials}}, {{workItem}}, {{systemName}}, {{orgSample}}, {{refNum}}, {{amount}}, {{count}}, {{percent}}, {{ipAddress}}, {{trackingNo}}, {{phone}}, {{code}}, {{commitSha}}, {{city}}, {{device}}, {{deviceModel}} and {{hostname}}.

Check the Live preview on the last step of a campaign to see the tags filled in for a real person before you launch.
